રાજ્યમાં વરસાદના નવા રાઉન્ડની શરૂવાત સાથે સૌરાષ્ટ્રના કેટલાક વિસ્તારોમાં ભુક્કા બોલાવી દીધા છે જેમાં સુત્રાપાડામાં 22 ઈંચ વરસાદ, વેરાવળમાં 19 ઈંચ, તાલાળામાં 12 ઈંચ વરસાદ અને કોડીનારમાં પણ 9 ઈંચ કરતા વધુ વરસાદ પડ્યો છે. અત્યારે પણ સૌરાષ્ટ્રના કેટલાક વિસ્તારમાં ધોધમાર વરસાદ પડી રહ્યો છે ત્યારે હવામાન ખાતા દ્વારા અને ગુજરાત હવામાન કેન્દ્ર દ્વારા રાજ્યમાં આજે અને આગામી દિવસોમાં ભારે વરસાદ તો ક્યાંક ભુક્કા બોલાવે તેવા વરસાદની આગાહી કરવામાં આવી છે.
ભારતીય હવામાન વિભાગની આજની (18 તારીખની) અપડેટમાં જણાવવામાં આવ્યુ છે જે મુજબ, આજે એટલે કે 19 જુલાઈના રોજ સૌરાષ્ટ્રના ભાવનગર અને અમરેલી જિલ્લામાં ભારેથી અંત્યંત ભારે વરસાદ તથા દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતના વલસાડ, દમણ અને દાદરા નગર હવેલીમાં પણ ભારેથી અંત્યંત ભારે વરસાદ પડવાનો હોવાથી રેડ એલર્ટ જાહેર કરવામાં આવ્યા છે.
આ સિવાય આજે, જુનાગઢ, ગીર સોમનાથ, નવસારી અને દીવમાં ભારેથી અતિભારે વરસાદના લીધે અહીં પણ ઓરેંજ ચેતવણી આપવામાં આવી છે તેમજ ગુજરાતના અમુક જિલ્લામાં ભારે વરસાદ પણ પડી શકે છે જેમાં ભરૂચ, સુરત, વડોદરા, તાપી, ડાંગ, આણંદ, રાજકોટ, બોટાદ, અને પોરબંદરનો સમાવેશ થાય છે.
તો આવતી કાલે 20 જુલાઈએ, રાજ્યમાં ભારેથી અતિભારે ભારે વરસાદના કારણે હવામાન ખાતા દ્વારા ઓરેંજ એલર્ટ આપવામાં આવ્યું છે, જેમાં ગીર સોમનાથ, જુનાગઢ, બનાસકાંઠા, ભાવનગર, સાબરકાંંઠા અને અમરેલીના વિસ્તારોનો સમાવેશ થાય છે. આ સિવાય નવસારી, વલસાડ, પોરબંદર, રાજકોટ, દમણ અને દાદરા નગર હવેલી, પંચમહાલ અને દાહોદમાં જિલ્લામાં ભારે વરસાદ પડી શકે છે.
હવામાન ખાતાએ 21 જુલાઈથી રાજ્યમાં વરસાદનું જોર ઘટે એવી આગાહી કરતાં જણાવ્યું કે, 21 જુલાઈના રોજ કચ્છ, પોરબંદર, જુનાગઢ, દેવભુમિ દ્વારકા, નવસારી, વલસાડ, દમણ અને દાદરા નગર હવેલી તો 22 જુલાઈએ ભાવનગર, બોટાદ, વલસાડ, નવસારી, દમણ, સુરત અને દાદરા નગર હવેલીમાં મધ્યમથી ભારે વરસાદ પડે તેવી સંભાવના કરી છે.
ગુજરાતના અમદાવાદના હવામાન કેન્દ્ર દ્વારા આજથી 24 જુલાઈ સુધીની આગાહી કરવામાં આવી છે તેમાં હવામાન કેન્દ્ર દ્વારા જણાવવામાં આવ્યું કે, 19થી 24 જુલાઈ દરમિયાન રાજ્યના વિસ્તારોમાં હળવાથી લઈને મધ્યમ વરસાદ / ગાજવીજ સાથે વરસાદ થઈ શકે છે.
